The U14 team travelled to neighbouring club Ardee St. Mary’s for their final game in group B. The pace was set straight away with Captain Tara Reilly who opened up the scoreboard for St. Kevin’s and Grace King who scored a goal just minutes into the first half. Possession remained relatively equal for the first half and made for an extremely entertaining affair throughout. With some great moments from defensive line with Abbie Forde in Goals, Amy Meehan, Aoife Carroll and Emily Byrne. Finishing the first half score of  St. Kevin’s 1-3 to St. Mary’s 2-2.

The spectators of the game were treated to three brilliant goals from Grace King, Ruby Gibney and Sally Sheridan.

The home team took advantage of their experience with a wide field and managed a purple patch halfway through the second half which expanded the gap in the scoreline. However, the Kevin’s girls held their nerve, rallied, and were able to close the gap to a one-point difference with no reply. These were as a result of some great runs and play from Caoimhe and Mia Brennan, Nikki Cunningham, Erin May McCabe, Sorcha McGee, Grace King and Tara Reilly.

The girls showcased some great skills and team work throughout,  with some great moments of timing from Roisin Halpenny, Madeleine Grogan and Holly McArdle Lynch which resulted in lovely skilful  scores.  The girls will go on to play with their U13 and U15 teams respectively.
