Our U13 Camogie team travelled to St. Fechin’s for their League final last Sunday afternoon and seized the all-important silverware on offer. With a powerful start to the game from both sides, Mattock Rangers gained immediate possession however the 1st score was a point from Aisling Gormally which was quickly followed by an equaliser from Mattock Rangers. Hollie Mc Ardle-Lynch then scored St. Kevin’s first goal which was followed by an Ella Mae Martin goal and 2 points from Tara Reilly. Mattock Rangers then scored a goal leaving it 2-3 st Kevin’s 1-1 Mattock at half time. Sorcha Magee and Florence Grogan came on just before halftime giving 100% at each move of the ball.
Mattock Rangers came out with strength and determination in the second half taking the first score of a point and then a super goal leaving just 2 points between the teams. Ashling Gormally scored another point from play and the gap was widened by a second goal from Hollie Mc Ardle lynch from a clever cross from Captain Erin Mae McCabe.
